Rafael is the the founder of Macaf Hats. He has been importing Panama Hats from Ecuador and selling them in Southern California for over 10 years. Rafael is originally from Quito, Ecuador, but raised his family in Sao Paulo, Brasil. He currently resides with his wife, Elisabeth, in San Diego, California. Macaf Hats is a family business.
“Macaf” is a moniker created from the names of their three children: Maurico + Carolina + Fernando.
